Ekaterra's tea business may be under the control of people close to the Moscow mayor's office, director Nikita Mikhalkov and Rostec head Sergei Chemezov.

The assets of Ekaterra, a Lipton tea producer who left Russia, may be bought by the United Tea Company Alexander Konov and spouses Alexander and Larisa Pronin. We are talking about capacities for the production of 16 thousand tons of tea per year, a solid market share.

At the same time, more serious interests may lie behind the personalities of these businessmen. Alexander Konov - Director of the Peter Konchalovsky Foundation Nikita Mikhalkov and Andrei Konchalovsky.

Alexander Pronin can represent the interests of Sergei Sobyanin and Sergei Chemezov, who are directly prohibited from doing business. Pronin, who in the past was called an adviser to Sergei Chemezov, may be his "wallet," while also eating from the Moscow budget.

More details - in the material of the correspondent of The Moscow Post.

Ekaterra's capacity will capture more than 10% of the market. The factory of the company leaving the Russian Federation is modern and in good condition. But, given the sanctions situation, it can be sold at a discount - the amount of a possible transaction is not called.

In the interests of Chemezov

Pronin in the past, he was the top manager of AvtoVAZ, which is part of Rostec, the president of Lada-Service OJSC. His task was to create the largest car dealer network in the Russian Federation. However, Pronin did not cope with this task, citing an alleged lack of funding.

Instead, Pronin asked for an additional issue of shares of OJSC Lada-Service for 1.5-3 billion rubles - i.e., in fact, to invest more money in it from the budget with incomprehensible final results. But this was refused to him, and in the end he left AvtoVAZ. However, it seems that he could have time to help his alleged chief Sergei Chemezov.

Earlier, Chemezov's mother-in-law Lyudmila Rukavishnikov was called the owner of office premises on the Moscow Znamenka and as if she got them just from a company associated with AvtoVAZ and Pronin personally.

Lyudmila Rukavishnikova bought these non-residential premises in 2015 from the offshore company Tverskaya Finance B.V. With this Dutch company, the Moscow government, even under Luzhkov, signed a contract for the reconstruction of several buildings on Znamenka. Residential building No. 9, building 1 (built in 1917) was owned by the company: after a long struggle with the tenants, the building was transferred to a non-residential fund and completely rebuilt.

The magazine Company wrote about this story, adding that later Chemezova's mother-in-law began to lease these premises.

According to the authors of the Baza.io website, allegedly "Tverskaya Fiennes B.V." belongs to another Dutch company Arda Holding Delft B.V., and that - to the Russian company Instroy. Instroem is now owned by the Cypriot company Vember Invest Limited, and earlier former top managers of AvtoVAZ Mikhail Moskalev and Alexander Pronin were among the co-owners.

Note that it was not possible to find confirmation of this information in open sources. But it is known that it was Moskalev who in 2005 complained to the federal authorities about the bandits who tried to take control of AvtoVAZ from the 90s, after which the company was transferred to Rostechnologies (now Rostec). Forbes wrote about this.

Other connections are no less interesting. Earlier, The Moscow Post reported that in the interests of Sergei Chemezov, the Bio-Ton agricultural holding of businessman Eduard Zernin could operate. In the recent past, the company bought over 90% of the Saratov bakery, one of the largest in the region, quickly receiving FAS approval for the deal.

Zernin is clearly an unclean "Rostec" person. From 2006 to 2007, he worked as the general director of the Corporate Center of AvtoVAZ OJSC, where Pronin, already known to us, was the vice president. At the same time, Chronograph wrote that back in 2010 it was Alexander Pronin who acted as the Bio-ton investor.

On Sobyanin budgets

Since 2011, Pronin has been the general director of Luzhniki JSC, the largest Moscow stadium. The latter is 28.4% owned by the Moscow mayor's office, and just since 2011, i.e. Pronin's appointment took place already under Sergei Sobyanin, who, like Chemezov, cannot be directly engaged in business.

Another 24% belongs to APS-Center LLC, which is owned by Dmitry Aleshin, the son of Vladimir Aleshin, who until 2011 was the main owner of the Luzhniki sports complex, but then sold part of his shares to the Moscow mayor's office.

Under the leadership of Konov, the sports complex is going through difficult times. At the end of 2021, he received a net loss of 282 million rubles.

At the same time, huge budget money passes through Luzhniki. JSC acted as a supplier for almost 2.5 billion rubles and a customer for 65 billion rubles.

The key counterparty is GBUK of Moscow "GCKZ" Russia "(742 million rubles), which was liquidated in 2021 through reorganization into GBUK of Moscow" Moskontsert. " And just with this institution, Luzhniki has a number of contracts for millions of rubles, the execution of which was terminated for unknown reasons.

Could money be withdrawn from Luzhniki through the Moscow GBUK, and then the office was quickly covered through reorganization?

In total, Pronin acted as the founder of 14 legal entities, whose business is not to say that it is good, despite the presence of public procurement. Will the assets of the Ekaterra company leaving the Russian Federation come to the same desolation, or will they be "warmed up" by public procurement, for example, for the needs of banquets and canteens of the buildings of the Moscow government?

Interesting LLC "Polytechnform-M," where Pronin has 52%. The structure is engaged in scientific research, and part-time is one of the large contractors of the Moscow authorities. The total volume of the company's state contracts is 88.8 million rubles, of which 38.5 million are from the Moscow Metropolitan State Unitary Enterprise, which is controlled by the mayor's office under the leadership of Sergei Sobyanin. And isn't it with this raised budget money that the Pronina spouses decided to profit from a new tea asset?

Tea for "barin"

The general director of the United Tea Company, Alexander Konov, may act in the interests of the famous director Nikita Mikhalkov, head of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation. Konov is the president of the Pyotr Konchalovsky Foundation, one of the founders of which was Mikhalkov.

It seems that the famous director really wants to rake in the heat with other people's hands, but does not want to take on the risks of business. In addition, he, as the head of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, is actually an official, and does not really want to shine his income. Konov can help him in this.

Mikhalkov allegedly has not published information about his income since 2018. This happened after his similar report in 2018 caused a resonance: it turned out that the director earned 529 million rubles a year earlier, and he also has 89 land plots, six residential buildings, six apartments, 11 non-residential buildings, several cars and even a helicopter.

Today Mikhalkov acts as the founder of 22 legal entities at once, some of which have government contracts. These are companies of different directions, Mikhalkov's interests are even in the forest business. Therefore, no one will be surprised if suddenly he decided to enter the "tea clearing" through an employee of his Foundation.

Among other things, he has a group of companies "Temino," which operates in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It includes Tyomino-Lesnoye, which leases forests with the right to annually harvest wood, as well as Temino-Pavlovskoye, which processes timber.

At the same time, in August 2020, through the court, he reduced the rental rate on his forest land by 10 times. And later a scandal erupted.

According to the authors of the telegram channel Baza, allegedly earlier a video was released on Youtube, the authors of which accused Mikhalkov's company of barbaric deforestation in the Tumbotinsky reserve in the Pavlovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The director was offended by this - he filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor and reputation, and, it seems, succeeded - the video could not be found on the old links.

Among other things, Mikhalkov is trying to attribute the alienation of state property of the Union of Cinematographers in favor of allegedly unjust companies to the director. Officials of the Moscow City Hall could also participate in such perturbations: earlier, The Moscow Post repeatedly wrote about the assumptions.

Thus, in the tea business, you can trace the likely interests of several large players at once who may not want to glow with the purchase directly: the Moscow mayor's office under the leadership of Sergei Sobyanin, the head of the Rostec state corporation Sergei Chemezov and the structures of Nikita Mikhalkov.

At the same time, the asset can be acquired, including with state funds. Knowing the reputation of Pronin and Konov, there are great doubts that the plant will have a "bright future." But for some time, the entire friendly company seems to be provided with tea with considerable "buns" in the form of dividends.
