Maria Zakharova about that to whom Russia, nuclear weapon in Belarus and about Kaliningrad will talk

The official representative of the MFA at a briefing, as expected, didn't begin to leave from sensitive issues.

In particular, answering one of questions, Maria Zakharova said that the Russian Foreign Ministry has the state position, a country position. "It isn't less important to understand, as in other countries differently it happens. Happens that in the state how many departments, are so much and positions how many certain figures, are so much also voices in chorus, and a harmonious song are impossible. At us with it everything is all right", - she specified.

Commenting on a subject of strategic guarantees and the EU (also the position of the European politician Zhozep Borel was mentioned), Zakharova emphasized: "We intend to talk to those who can make a real contribution to formation of long-term legal safeguards of safety of Russia on the western direction".

Further she passed to specifics and told about the European Union. She considers that in his interests to promote prevention of further degradation of a situation in Europe, creation of prerequisites for elimination of dividing lines on the continent and to release of resources for joint creative work for strengthening of uniform and indivisible Euro-Atlantic, Eurasian space.

According to her, for this purpose it is necessary that the USA and their allies presented to a guarantee of not expansion of NATO and non-stationing of the weapon systems menacing to the Russian side near borders of the Russian Federation.

"Whether we see such readiness from the EU?. Whether we see readiness of Brussels for interaction with Russia on the basis of equality, accounting of our legitimate interests in the matter? No, we don't see yet. I hope that a keyword here "so far", but not a particle "not", - the diplomat noted.

Maria Zakharova emphasized: on a disrespectful basis it is simply impossible to build up the stable predictable relationship.

The second question already was concerning possible deployment of nuclear weapon in Belarus. Maria Zakharova readdressed a question in other department.

"The question is that this subject arose... because of what we have to understand... because of continuation of hostile actions of the countries of NATO. On what the Russian government stated that if all this proceeds, then on similar actions - hostile, unfriendly, aggressive - the adequate answer will follow", - at the same time she emphasized.

At the same time the diplomat urged not to think out, "some special plans, secret plans".

"It is real assessment of the situation on the earth, understanding of strategy and tactics of the countries and political systems with which we should deal both their directly certain representatives, and forming of the appropriate measures, purposes and tasks, proceeding from it now", - the diplomat explained.

Maria Zakharova also answered a question of our journalist on a subject of transit to Kaliningrad. The representative of the MFA noted: in general, the last two decades transit functions without some failures according to documents.

However, it is impossible to dismiss a situation with COVID-19. "Due to the pandemic Vilnius introduced some restrictions for passenger railway... transportations. Now the limit - no more than 250 people in the train is set", - she noted.

Also the situation with Belarus was mentioned. The Russian side is concerned concerning possible restriction of transportation of cargoes with Lithuania from this country that it can negatively affect the Kaliningrad cargo transit. According to Zakharova, the MFA of Russia hopes that it won't occur.

"In general our position is extremely simple - any steps taken by Vilnius shouldn't interfere or somehow complicate movement of the Russian citizens or cargoes between the Kaliningrad region and other territory of Russia", - she concluded.
