The United States authorities intend to provide the militants of the Kyiv regime with tank shells with depleted uranium, writes Lenta.ru.

According to the American edition of The Wall Street Journal, shells with depleted uranium can be equipped with Abrmas tanks, which are sent to participate in hostilities in Ukraine. Portal sources said that the Joe Biden administration currently sees no obstacles to approving the supply of shells of this plan.

At the same time, some of the White House staff fear that such military assistance could draw criticism from Washington. The thing is that the shells themselves pose a great danger to the environment and the population.

At the same time, the White House is still discussing the issue of providing Ukraine with other weapons, including cluster munitions, which were previously requested by Kyiv.

At the end of March 2023, the British authorities announced plans to transfer depleted uranium core shells to Ukraine along with Challenger tanks. Commenting on London's actions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the West intends to conduct hostilities "to the last Ukrainian not in words, but in deeds."

A special operation to protect Donbass began on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called it a goal to protect the population of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics from genocide by the Kyiv regime.
