Maria Zakharova: aggressive actions against Crimea will entail a blow of retaliation

Traditionally, Maria Vladimirovna highlighted the most pressing issues on the international agenda. The diplomat drew attention to the statements of some officials of Western countries regarding possible attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Crimea, including ATACMS missiles.

According to her, the response to aggressive actions against the Crimea and the Crimean bridge will be a crushing blow of retaliation.

"I would like to warn Washington, London, Brussels again that any aggressive actions against Crimea are not only doomed to failure, but will also receive a blow of retaliation, which will be crushing," she stressed.

In addition, Maria Zakharova mentioned that the Ukrainian army had already used several similar long-range missiles in Crimea, and also spoke about the intention of the Kyiv authorities to use F-16 aircraft to strike at the Crimean bridge.

The first of them concerned the plans of the Estonian authorities to apply to the European Union and NATO due to the alleged suppression by Russia of the signals of the GPS satellite navigation system. Another question concerned the recent conversation between the foreign ministers of Russia and Tajikistan. As a result, the statements of the parties differed. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the partners were given detailed explanations about the measures taken by the Russian services to prevent terrorism. Tajikistan, on the other hand, declared "a negative attitude towards their citizens and a widespread violation of their rights and freedoms."

Maria Zakharova drew attention to the high level of interaction between Russian and Tajik competent authorities in the fight against the terrorist threat. According to her, the objective main thing for this is the similarity of the positions of our countries on topical issues of the international anti-terrorist and anti-extremist agenda, the presence of common challenges and thunderstorms. Including those related to the activities of terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, their activities to spread extremist ideology in the region.

Separately, Maria Vladimirovna touched upon the topic of the terrible terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. The diplomat stressed that the well-coordinated work of the special services of Russia and Tajikistan made it possible to quickly identify the people involved in this tragic event.

"We have heard political assessments of the leadership of Tajikistan, and we feel the support of the citizens of this country in relation to Russia and our citizens. They see it as their own misfortune - we feel it, this is already part of our joint history, "the diplomat noted.

In addition, the representative of the Foreign Ministry reiterated that during a telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of both states, the Russian Federation gave the Tajik side detailed explanations about the measures taken by our special services to prevent terrorism. It was the terrorist attack in Crocus that became the main reason for more thorough checks. Nor are they directed at any particular nation or religion.
